· The #8-32 socket-head cap screws for
both scope clamp and base (7) have an
average yield torque of 78 in-lbs and an
average yield force of 1960 lbs. These
values are much greater, and therefore
stronger, than the #6-40 screws used by
others (45 in-lb and 1270 lbs)
· A unique unitized dovetail base with
#8-32 clamping screws on all the BKL
mounts is designed for extremely tight
clamping without movement (8), even
under very heavy recoil. Built-in
capability for spreading the base with the
same clamping screws facilitates clamp
installation and removal (9)
· BKL mounts fit the nominal
3/8"dovetail found on most rimfire guns,
and the 11 mm dovetail on most airguns
(10)
· Height from bottom of dovetail clamp
to bottom of scope tube is 0.75" and to
center of scope tube another 0.50"
